How We Help
The mission of Purcellville Volunteer Rescue Squad is to aid in the preservation of life, by operating a trained, efficient, and dedicated volunteer emergency medical service for the town of Purcellville, Lincoln, North Fork, Philomont, Hillsboro and surrounding areas.
Today, we have a membership of approximately 130 volunteers, both operational and administrative, with an apparatus pool of three Advanced Life Support ambulances, two Advanced Life Support chase vehicles, and one Basic Life Support chase vehicle. Purcellville Rescue has responded to the need for special events and rehabilitation support during working emergency operations by adding one specialty vehicle outfitted for rehabilitation, 2 special event John Deere Gator UTVs, and a specialized trailer for supplies and transporting the Gators.
Purcellville Rescue has remained an all-volunteer organization for our entire existence and is the only all volunteer rescue squad in Loudoun County. Members work thousands of man-hours and respond to approximately 1,200 calls per year.
