Looking for a Driving Position?

Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) is a required course for all members interested in being
an ambulance driver. To become released as a driver, members must complete a documented 10 hours of pre-course driving and familiarization, participation and completion of the 18 hour EVOC course which includes a written and practical exam, and then 10 hours of post-course driving, familiarization, and running calls.
All of this is done with a preceptor, who will monitor your driving and provide helpful feedback. Members interested in becoming drivers must be at least 18 years old, and have a driving record demonstrating good standing and a responsible driving history.
Drivers are not required to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), though all operational members are highly encouraged to attain EMT-Basic or higher.
